Finish of hairpin end

Ok  little while since my last blog, have now come really close to finish of this project, so have laid down stoney gravel in this area, and quite pleased with result.

pretty pleased with this end of track now,
Had a race night with few of my mates and evening went really well the r.m.s worked really well and was great fun, however there was a section of track along the far back straight that was causing some problems with some of the cars in that they kept coming to a stop and needed a little nudge with the granny grabber which was a bit frustating, so decided to rip this section up and replace with new track as i still had loads left over,

Ok so was a bit of a mission to replace this section had to remove fence an grandstands so i could get up on table, also put in more support for this bit of track think that was main problem it never laid flat so some times cars braids would leave the slot an car would come to a stop,
so after stands an fence put back was worth the effort as all cars run round really well now,  i think with having a layout in the loft or even basement unless you are able to fully insulate walls floor and ceiling the temperature changes can be dramatic from hot to cold, so any elevated track that is not supported properly will really react to temperature changes,

Heres a michelin advert gantry looks pretty cool. next few pics are  just scenery shots plus also the cable car now in place which is pretty cool.

This second loop area is so difficult to actualy reach to try an do anything with in terms of sculpting  so have placed a truck an fork lift in there an i think i can live with it as is.

ok my next blog will be my collection of cars have quite a few now so will put up pics an with there lap times, so stay tuned....................
