Ok so after painting the track i cleaned up the rails so so, and cars were not that good at going round the electric connection was not that good, so i thought the copper tape would fix this problem so after buying an waiting for it to arrive, i set about very carefully applying it to the rails took nearly two hours, but couldnt wait to finaly get to play with cars especialy new ones,( a fly porsche, ferrari f40 gronholm ford focus and ford escort, will put pics of all my cars up at later date) but i digres,
BUT IT DID NOT WORK ARRRGH,
there was no connection whatsoever nothing worked, and seeing as my electrical knoledge goes no further than changing a plug an lightbulb i had no idea what was going on,
and to make matters worse it was tempramental one minute bit would work then next it wouldnt,
so basicaly i spent a week playing and fiddling with track to no avail,
then my nephew had a look and brought some tester thing and found some bits of track were just no good after being knelt and lent on while doing scenery they just got bent out of shape and he also reckoned the copper tape was doing more harm than good as the glue was insullating it from the track, so we peeled it all off cleaned up rails and connections pulled up and replaced track that was no good,
Ok so quite abit of track has been replaced, and some of the scenery was damaged when taking it up but not nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be, there is still a couple of bits to replace the hairpin end and bit on over pass but watching these bits of track on ebay so not to much of a drama,
so i am at a bit of a backwards step in my progress but at least track is working fine and cars are working no point in having a great looking track if it dont work,
so plan is to repair broken scenery repaint very carefully new bits of track, and that should get me back to where i was, and then can carry on as there is still lots more to do,
